Haris Kabiljagic

Founder · AWS Cloud Architect · Platform Engineer

I'm Haris Kabiljagic - engineer, architect, and engineering leader with 20+ years of experience. I lead teams, but I'm hands-on every day - I lead by example, not from a distance. And hands-on now means building the AI agents, skills, and evals that write and accelerate the work, not just typing the code myself. I've worked across the full software lifecycle: product builds, cloud architecture, delivery pipelines, and operations.

My background spans forestry, fintech, e-commerce, and cybersecurity. That range taught me what holds up in production: clear scope, simple design, strong security defaults, and systems that stay cheap to run and easy to operate long after launch.

Founder-Led, Expert Delivery From Day One

When you work with LINA Solutions AB, you work with me directly. I own every step - from discovery and design to building, launch, and upkeep.

This is by choice. It removes handoffs and keeps decisions fast. You get senior-level work from day one. If something isn't the right fit, I'll say so early and suggest a better path.

Proven Ability to Build Systems That Last

I care about things that last. A good system still delivers value years later. It runs well, stays secure, and needs little upkeep.

A real example: I built a forestry system more than 15 years ago. It's still in daily use by several groups in Bosnia, including public agencies. Over time I moved it to Azure serverless. That keeps costs low and operations smooth.

That experience shaped how I build today. Keep the design simple. Automate the boring parts. Make it clear enough that future changes stay easy.

AI Agents, Built With Engineering Discipline

I'm not interested in AI hype. I treat AI as a tool that solves real problems within real limits: cost, accuracy, security, and ease of upkeep. The hard part of an AI agent isn't getting it to work once - it's bounding it so it stays safe and useful in production.

I build AI agents and agentic workflows the way a platform engineer would: retrieval-augmented generation grounded in real data, multi-step orchestration, strict output schemas, evaluation harnesses, and guardrails at every step. PawsomeChoice.se is one example - AI runs the core content pipeline end to end, orchestrating 40,000+ products through retrieval, scoring, generation, and publishing on AWS Bedrock with pgvector similarity search on Amazon RDS.

I also work this way day to day. I build the AI agents, skills, and evals that write and accelerate my own development - so client projects ship faster, with more thorough testing and review than a single engineer could do by hand. The AI-agent capability I sell is the same one I rely on to deliver.

I've also taken this work to the stage: I spoke at AWS Summit on building autonomous AI agents for security on Amazon Bedrock - where agents do real, high-stakes work and the guardrails matter most.

AWS Cloud Architecture & Security at Scale

I lead engineering as Head of Platform Engineering & AI Enablement - hands-on, alongside the team rather than above it. My recent years in cybersecurity sharpened how I think about building cloud platforms: secure by default, hard to misuse, and cheap to run.

I designed a scalable multi-account AWS strategy that followed AWS best practices closely enough that AWS Solutions Architects recommended it to other organizations, which then adopted the same approach. I cost-optimized our AWS footprint to save over 40% without sacrificing reliability, and engineered the platform so a very small team can run it with no disruptions.

My work on AWS cloud architecture and attack-surface security has also been published on the AWS Partner Network blog. The throughline is the same: build it secure from day one, keep it cheap to run, and make it operable by a small team.

Process

How I Work

A clear, hands-on process from start to finish.

Start with clarity

A short talk to align on goals, limits, and what success looks like - before any work starts.

Engineer for performance and security

Strong defaults, fast load times, and solid security - built in from day one.

Build for handover and longevity

Clean code, clear docs, and automation so the system stays easy to run and grow.

Communicate proactively

Short updates, visible progress, and no surprises. You always know what's happening and why.
